WRITE UP FOR WEEK #11: LATE NIGHT AT THE GK

CAPTAIN'S LOG: DART DATE: 06 - 04 - 07

This one almost isn't worth writing up. We played Average Jack and we won 14 - 10 (singles 8-4, cricket 3-3, doubles 3-3). We probably played our worst darts of the season. In fact, the only drama of the evening was whether Cuppa Joe would make it to the match after his flight got pushed back 47 times. (He did, eventually.) But a late start, awful darts, and tactical (though legal) stalling made for a disjointed evening and poor darting environment. How bad was it? We finished a 1:45. I know. I can hardly believe it myself. Dreadful.

The Highlights:

Cup won 7 of 9.

Glenn won 8 of 9.

Colin scored a win in cricket.

Ginsberg notched a W in '01.

And last but not least, one of their guys went AWOL for his doubles match. No one could find him. An hour later he bursts out of the ladies room like a bat out of hell. That's right. He passed out... on the hopper... in the ladies room... for an hour.

That's a first in Dartbag history.

Even our metaphors sucked. Here's Colin describing the cricket match in which we won the first game and lost the last two:

Colin: It was like a little stream of pee that you try to keep going but you can't and it just like, trickles out. (pause) Man that's a bad analogy... that doesn't even make any sense.

No sense at all. But nothing did that night. So be it. The next write up to follow a lot sooner. I promise.

And yes. I know I suck. So please don't remind me.

That is all.
